"Jana is a sweet and loving woman whoís both physically scarred and emotionally disabled from a devastating car crash. A crash that resulted in the death of her mother and now she blames herself. Itís a crippling guilt made worse by the attitudes and actions of her selfish sister and angry, hostile father. In the ten years since the accident, sheís been alone and untouched by love of another human being until she meets Dan. Even though she doesnít believe she deserves it or that any man could feel desired for her scarred body, she finds herself opening up to love

Dan is a young man trying to make a new life for himself after being released from prison after the death of his brother-in-law. Heís strong, loyal and hard working. Unfortunately, he doesnít think he has anything to offer a wonderful woman like Jana.

The question is whether these two people with let the tragedies of the past ruin their chance of future happiness.

I absolutely loved this story and wanted to know more about the characters. Itís a great read now and will be again in the future. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. "

"In the Runes: The Beauty Within by Leanne Karella is a beautiful tale of a man and a woman who are both looking for that second chance in life. I loved the heroine, Jana for not only is she courageous but she has a heart of gold that shows throughout the book. Here she is scarred and deaf afraid that nobody will love her like a woman only showing her pity. The thing I hated the most was her whining sister Visalia for here is a woman who readers will love to hate. I mean you can feel Janaís heart is breaking trying to forget about her motherís death and her sister keeps reminding her. I loved Dan for he too is trying to forget about his past. These two are meant for each and readers will enjoy the latest In the Runes book for each one will make you want to know more of this series and enjoy each one as much as ever. "

She allows Jana and Dan to find each other, but will the family tear them apart? And what about Danís past? Does he have a reason to hide the truth? This story has some extraordinary twists and turns which will emphasize her ability to intrigue readers. Wonderfully written, this book belongs on your ďkeeperĒ list!"

"Whoever said two souls know each other without speaking must have first read The Beauty Within. I found myself alternately crying from its poignant storyline and yelling at Janaís sister and father. Dan wormed his way into my heart at the first sign he gave Jana that he could understand her. His acceptance of her and his totally unconditional love was something that all people yearn for. Jana was one lucky woman.

For a romantic, poignant, and very sensual tale of acceptance and love, The Beauty Within is not to be missed. I thoroughly adored it and hated for it to end. "

"Jana and Dan are both damaged people whoíve been betrayed by those they love and bear the scars to prove it. ... Together the two learn that itís truly who they are inside that matters, and together theyíre more than the sum of their parts. Itís nice to read a story where two truly deserving people find love and happiness.

Full of sensitivity and heartfelt emotion, THE BEAUTY WITHIN is a fantastic read, and I highly recommend it. Iíll be on the lookout for more stories from the pen of this gifted author."

    Alaskan Hideaway

    5 Angels

"Alaskan Hideaway offers readers the beautiful backdrop of Alaska and an emotional journey for two characters. Isabella needs to find some happiness out of life after having hers ripped from her in such a horrible way. My heart ached for all she had to deal with before coming to her little cabin. Brandon has had a life filled with danger and devotion to the government and wants the American dream of the white picket fence and 2.5 children. This reader was rooting for him to find it with Isabella. Struggling emotionally, Isabella finds being in Brandonís presence is more difficult than she originally thought. With tender chemistry, readers will wish they had a cabin of their own with a pilot just like Brandon crashing into their life. The journey they follow, in order to have what they want the most, is very emotional and worth fighting for. Leanne Karella has done an outstanding creating two characters that this reader will remember for a very long time. 5 Angels! "

"Ms. Karella takes two strangers, both of whom are unusual people each taking stock of their lives and places them in the wilds of Alaska. The setting is a fitting canvas for these two hardy and earthy people who have lived uncommon lives. The beauty of the land as well as its nuisances feels so real that you can actually picture yourself there.

Bellaís gruff personality is a veneer coating on a caring and wounded soul. Readers will ache with her over the tragedies in her past that have left her somewhat fragile. Likewise, we respect her for her determination to find a measure of happiness and to persevere.

For all of our heroís tough career history, he is a wonderfully grounded man. One could not help but chuckle over Brandonís penchant to tease, admire his wish to help, and melt at his attempts to woo his sometimes vulnerable and sometimes prickly heroine.

Alaskan Hideaway is a romance that will take you through a gamut of emotions and leave you happy to have witnessed this journey to love. "

    Broken Wings

"Broken Wings is the first medieval historical that this reader has experienced. I have to admit that I was amazed with the wonderful writing and its ability to throw me back in time. Meghan is actually what Lord Galen says she is, a little dove. She has a beautiful spirit and personality that this reader enjoyed watching take flight and soar above all the horrors she has experienced. Galen has a hard exterior and rules with compassion and consideration for those in his lands, but underneath his gruff and intoxicating shell is a man whose heart is full of love, if only he would open the door. An array of secondary characters brings the story to life, adding many emotions that will have readers engrossed within the pages. Leanne Karella has crafted a heartfelt story laced with danger, uncertainty, and difficult decisions for more than one character. With a title that could not have been more appropriate, Broken Wings brings two broken hearts together, causing them to soar above the clouds. 5 Angels & a Recommended Read! "

"This book by Ms. Karella was chocked full of action and pitfalls that Meghan and Galen dealt with on a daily basis. I think the storytelling was so exciting that I absolutely could not put it down. I loved the story; it was never dull and the entire cast of characters will surprise you. And the ending will certainly surprise you. Be sure to read this book when you get the chance. You will not be sorry. "

"I loved this book. The depth of emotion that these characters go through touched me. Lina has been through so much heartbreak from peopleís constant judgment. Trent has been equally scarred from a traumatic past. Trentís daughter Jess is sweet, smart, and curious. I loved the mystical aspects of the story. Granna is a hoot. The romance between Lina and Trent engrossed me with its depth, warmth, and complexity. It touched me so much that I cried. Thank you Leanne Karella & Vivienne King for this truly wonderful book. I truly hope you continue writing. "

"The characters are multi-dimensional and Granna will have the reader laughing out loud and the sexual, sizzling tension between Lina and Trent will have the reader running for the ice bucket. The love scenes are hot and passionate even though either Granna popping up or Jess, Trentís daughter disturbing them, often hinders the poor couple. The plot is really good and will hold the reader captive while she devours this story. These two talented authors give the reader not only a very sensual read but also a very spiritual one. Trent has to come to grips that the world of the spirit is indeed very real and can only enhance his life. This is a story that will touch all emotions and this reviewer confesses to shedding a tear near its ending. "

"Few heroes impact the reader as strongly at first appearance as Sheriff Trent Godfrey, and this reviewer can only hope there are more like him where he came from! He is not only an impressively gorgeous hunk, but he has a great personality, compassion, and listens to his instincts and his heart. What more could any woman ask? Lina is a woman constantly driven from pillar to post, yet she persists and never lets go of her dream of stability and true love. Grandmother Merlona is a precious addition to the cast of characters, a ghost who at times is almost more rational than the live characters! Altogether Witch Hunt is an enjoyable and engrossing book, one I highly recommend! "

"Witch Hunt has a title that brought one thing to mind, and the story was pleasantly about something else altogether, which surprised me and made me very happy that I had taken it. Lina and Trentís characters are both strong, and each acknowledges the weaknesses in their characters. Having the ability to face and learn about something that scares you is a strong plus in any story. Both Lina and Trent have to learn this lesson, but for very different purposes. As I read along, I was taken away into their world where everything you see is not always all there is. Paranormal is the category this is under, but I would say it is much more a spicy spiritual with some paranormal aspects. No matter where they want to place it, I strongly suggest that you will want to read Witch Hunt. I absolutely recommend this to any reader no matter what your reading preference may be. I will be watching for other books from these authors. "

From the ghost Merona who guides Lina in her life, and causes her much trouble and embarrassment, to the troubling visions of people she needs to help in a very small town, and the budding abilities of Trent's daughter, this book is chock-full of secrets, both magical and mundane, and humor. It's definitely an interesting combination, but one that works very well. Leanne Karella and Vivienne King are a brilliant and clever pair, crafting a fantastic, stimulating tale! "

Witch Hunt is one of those rare books that made me forget I'm a writer and allowed me to become totally immersed in the story. This was an amazing, well-told story and the authors' voices flow well together. Starting with the delicious cover to the very last page, my only peeve was that the book ended and left me wanting more. Witch Hunt has become one of my favorite books of the year. "

Ms. Karella and Ms. King have created fascinating characters in Lina and Trent, both by turns amusing and complex, but compassionate at their core. This paranormal romance, unfolding at a careful pace and with a slightly spicy flare, is spellbinding. "

"Oh man this was a good book! Anna Leigh Keaton has found a winner with this creative and unique storyline. The romance between Jacques and Lilly was very believable and the sex scenes were sizzling with heat. I thought that the story was very well developed and I actually felt the characters pain in the end. When part of a book can bring you to tears, I believe that it is a very well developed storyline. The theme of this book was very interesting to read about and not just another typical romance novel. I am going to try to find a print copy of this book because it is definitely going on my keeper shelf. The only bad thing that I could say about this book was that it wasnít long enough. I found myself wanting to know what happened to the characters in the end after the book ended. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a fresh new take on paranormal romance. "

While I found Ty a sufficiently admirable character for his patience and sincere aspiration to change his life, I give major props to Ms. Karella for creating such a wonderful character in Michaela. "Joe is a gentle compelling hero with a well of patience whom any woman could fall in love. His dialogue with children will often have one chuckling. But it is the way he cares for the heroine, and attempts to do whatever he feels that she needs that left this reviewer weak-kneed. One can imagine the soothing voice that he uses to gentle the frightened, and the charming smile quirking his lips.

The heroine is drawn in a realistic manner. The desolation and the confusion of her situation slowly giving way to a hard fought sense of belonging and happiness. There were more tears than one might like, but tears were understandable for the trauma and the attempts to overcome it. As some of her fears began to subside, one could see through the eyes of the hero, to the caring and humor that he saw in Jenny.

Ms Karella has written a beautiful romance that should be savored. Be prepared to laugh, to cry, and to exalt in the triumph of love while reading this heartwarming tale."
